July 2017 month in review

I have a mini freak out this time of year every year – Summer's half over!  Why is it that summer flies by on the wind and winter seems to last forever? Maybe that's just me, living in the north. I can never get enough summertime.

July's been a great month. For the second year in a row I went camping by myself (see blog post 5 Reasons to Go Camping – alone-link). For those of you who are self-employed, you understand how hard it is to take time off. I didn't even take pictures, except with my retina, just let myself untangle from modern tech. Highly recommend!

July-2017

Outside of the time I took off to camp, I worked hard to get my new release, Murder at Bray Manor, ready for launch. This post is going out a couple of days before the end of the month. July 31st is the big day!

You can preorder here (link) or purchase if it's after the release date. You can read the first three chapters for free here(link).

The absolute best part of the month of July for me is  all my kids coming home. They're here right now. Three sons, a daughter and a future daughter-in-law! I hope to get some new family photos. Maybe I'll post some next month.

Here's looking at August!

  1. Just want to let you know that I’ve pre ordered Murder at Bray Manor, and am not so patiently waiting for its release… I’ve read the first two Ginger Gold books, and enjoyed them very much!

I love the gentleness of the Ginger Gold murder mysteries. They’re a welcome respite from the violence and gore of most murder mysternes today. (I still enjoy a well-crafted gory murder mystery, but most don’t focus on goodness and innosence.)

I think the descriptions of the surroundings, as well as your descriptions of the clothing the characters are wearing, creates an interesting backdrop for the shenansgans to follow.

I fun read, Carolyn in SoCal
