Hickory Dickory Dock

written by Lee Strauss | A Nursery Rhyme Suspense

September 17, 2015

I've been busy setting up the launch for the last book in The Clockwise Collection (young adult time travel romance as Elle Strauss) which is releasing on Sept 29. I'm also preparing to go on an Italian adventure with my friend Claudia (she translated Playing with Matches into German) as we head south from Germany to the Writers Conference in Matera. We're taking the train from Switzerland with stops in Florence and Rome. Excited about that!

The good news about the Nursery Rhyme Suspense series is that I've finally had time to start the outline for book #3 – Hickory Dickory Dock.

In Hickory Dickory Dock we find Marlow and Sage in Detroit over the summer holidays. Their freshman year at (fictional) Detroit University  had been fraught with troubles (see books 1 and 2!) so a relaxed, uneventful summer would be nice, wouldn't it?

Not gonna happen! lol

Meet Marlow Henry

Adorkable. Self-proclaimed Geek. Still sees himself as the scrawny nerd of his youth. Nurses a secret flame for Sage Farrell, a girl out of his league, but with whom he has an out-of-this-world unexplainable connection.

Meet Sage Farrell

Smart. Savvy. Beautiful.  Her world turned on its head when she met Marlow Henry. He was a good friend in times of trouble and there had been a lot of that. He ran in different circles. He was a geek. But then again, so was she….

In book 3 we'll find out a bit more about what really happened to Marlow's dad, how Sage can see into the future, and if she and Marlow can do anything to stop the BAD stuff that's going to happen. Also more push/pull romantic tension between the two leads. Marlow has a girlfriend now and Sage continues to lie to herself about her feelings for Marlow. Getting your heart strings untangled is tough when you're busy saving the world.

COMING SOON!
