Goodbye 2018 ~ Hello 2019! Here’s what’s coming!!

January 3, 2019

Every year, it seems, I'm surprised by something I hadn't seen coming on January 01. For 2018, that was the decision to sell our house, which ended up being a 5 month ordeal. However, we did have a happy surprise: an invitation to become part of a children's book publishing endeavor called Funkland World. I'm tremendously excited about this. More in a moment.

Something that wasn't a surprise, but was a very happy event, was the wedding of my oldest son Joel to my assistant Shadi. If you're part of my Facebook Groups, you'll know who I'm talking about.  It's so awesome having a daughter-in-law! I plan to collect a couple more. 🙂

My husband Norm and I made a trip to Germany in the Fall, something we've been doing for the last six years. Check out these short Youtube clips for a peek.

Want to know why we go?

What's up for 2019?

Last year Norm and I started the snowbirding phase of our lives and will spend the first three months of 2019 in Mexico. Since we're both self-employed and can work from anywhere, why sit in the snow and cold? Right? So you can expect to see a few photos and videos about our time and adventures there. Be sure to follow me on Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram. I got a new phone for Christmas so my photos should be great. 🙂

I'm releasing the first book of my new 1930s cozy historical mystery series, The Higgins & Hawke mysteries in less than four weeks! Click this link to find out more about Death at the Tavern.

For those of you worried that you've seen the end of Ginger Gold – don't be. Book 9, Murder at the Boat Races is scheduled for early summer this year. Stay tuned for more on that.

If you're a fan of audio books, Ginger Gold Mysteries # 5, Murder at the Mortuary, is dropping  in February. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, you can check out the rest of my audio book library HERE.

I plan to publish one or two more Higgins & Hawke books along with a couple of Christmas Novellas, one for Ginger Gold and one for Higgins & Hawke. Along with that, my publishing company La Plume Press is publishing four Funkland World books. Funkland World is the brain child of author Sherri Funk and illustrator Dave Watland.

If you have young kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, you're seriously going to love these books. The first one, Stanley the Walrus is releasing April 9. He's a lovable fellow with a problem: he has poor hygiene. Fortunately for Stanley, he has good friends to help him out.

There is a lot of fun stuff planned for kids besides reading. Songs, coloring pages, and puzzles to start with. Check out the Funkland World website, funklandworld.com to learn how to get them for FREE!

WHAT ABOUT YOU? I'd love to hear about your plans for 2019. Let me know what you're up to in the comments.

Happy New Year!!
